My trip to Italy

The second week of March, my class and I we went to Italy for one week. We took the flight at 6:25 pm and we arrived at the Bérgamo airport very early at the morning. There, we took a bus the first Italian location: Brescia. Brescia is a small city in the north of Italy. Brescia is in the middle of Bérgamo and Verona. There we had a cappuccino and we visited the nice cathedral, the most important in the region. Later, we took the bus and we went to Sirmione, one beautiful city that’s near the largest Italian lake. There, we ate the first pizza, it was delicious! In the afternoon, we arrived at the first hotel, in Verona. In the same night we visited the city centre, the arena and the Juliet’s house. The Juliet’s house was full of gums and post-it with dedications and I don’t really like it at all. Later we had dinner and we went to the hotel because we all were exhausted.

Tuesday, March the 6th. In theory, Tuesday had to be the best day, because we visited one of the most emblematic cities in the hole Italy: Venice. We arrived by train but the weather was a little bit bad that day. It sometimes rained and we had to wear the umbrella always with us. But, the cool thing was that in the Piazza San Marco, there were a kind of walkways to get through the Basilica and move around the Piazza. In Venice, we visited a lot of things: il ponte de Rialto, one glass of murano lab, the Piazza San Marco… But the most enjoyable thing was, in my opinion, the vapporetto tour. In the afternoon, we took early the train back to Verona and there, we spent the night shopping in the city centre. Tuesday, we saw the Madrid-PSG in one café only the last ten minutes and after that, we went to the hotel to sleep.

Wednesday, March the 7th. We left early Verona to go to my favourite place we visited in Italy: Florence. We arrived there in the morning and we visited the duomo, la piazza Della signoria and the campanile. The campanile was very high! The duomo was perfect looking it from the outside but, the inside disappointed me a lot. We had time to buy some souvenirs and enjoy the Florence gelattos, that were spectacular!

Thursday, March the 8th. We wake up in Florence and we visited Bernardeschi’s dome and the gallery to see the David. Later we went to the local market and we bought different types of pasta and “formaggio” for our families. In the afternoon we visited one of the most important art gallery in the world: The Uffizi Gallery. There we saw a lot of different paints from Leonardo da Vinci, Boticelli… In the night, we visited the “Ponte Vecchio” and we went to the hotel to spent our last night in Italy.

Last day, Friday, March the 9th. We left early Florence and we spent all the morning in two important cities: Lucca and Pisa. We had dinner in Pisa and we took some photos in the Pisa’s Tower. In the afternoon we went to the Pisa Airport and we took the flight to Barcelona. There we went to Banyoles by bus and we arrived here at 2 o’clock.
